Application
Fast Cut Polish is suitable for all automotive coatings, incl. acrylics, waterborne, 1K, 2K, HS, HS low VOC, UHS, anti-scratch, no-oven clearcoats and OEM finishes. It is also suitable for use on gelcoats and is therefore a common choice for the boat and yacht industry as well as for caravans and trailers. It also provides a perfect finish as a final step on polycarbonate. Unlike many conventional polishes, Fast Cut Polish does not hide imperfections, scratches and holograms with oils, but removes them permanently.
For best results, we recommend the use of an orbital polisher.
Instructions
- Choose the right polishing pad for the job. For best results, use the pads in the following order: burgundy, grey, yellow. This will give a perfect, shiny, hologram-free finish while scratches of up to P1500 can be removed using an orbital polishing machine (caution: thin pads will not work with a rotary polisher). For quicker detailing, the purple foam pad can be used with an orbital or rotary polisher.
- Place the pad on the polishing machine.
- Apply polishing compound to the pad. Do not use excessive amounts of product and do not add water during the polishing process.
- Polish the surface with medium pressure and speed until scratches and imperfections are removed.
- Reduce the pressure and increase the speed to start high gloss polishing.
- After polishing the surface, remove any residue with a suitable microfibre cloth.
