Application
Rubber Guard is designed as an alternative to underbody sealants and stone chip coatings that require air gun application.
Rubber Guard is able to produce different types of finish depending on the thickness of the coating and the distance from which is sprayed. It is particularly good at replicating the light stone chip finish found on the lower edge of sill and front panels on many vehicles. It also works well as a sealant to cover weld repairs and can withstand harsh treatment in wheel arches and underbody areas.
For safe overpainting, apply several coats and allow to flash off in between.
Manuals
- Remove rust, dirt, oil and other contaminants. Surface must be clean and dry.
- Shake well to loosen the mixing ball. Then continue shaking for one minute. Repeat shaking after every one minute of spraying.
- Keep a distance of approx. 30 cm from the surface and spray in a sweeping motion, building up with light coats. Allow each coat to flash off before applying a new one.
- After each use, clean valve by turning can upside down and spray until clear.
- Remove overspray with KENT Acrysol.
- When overpainting, allow to dry completely (minimum 2 – 3 hours, preferably overnight).
