Application
Ultra Alu THX is an aluminium pigmented polyester putty with excellent spreadability and compactness. It is characterised by a good formability, even when applied in thick layers. Its smooth surface can be easily sanded with a coarse grit paper (P120 – P320) to form the transition between the putty and the repaired surface.
Ultra Alu THX has been formulated to
provide high temperature resistance and good mechanical properties so that components are strengthened by its use. It is particularly suitable for filling dents, porous surfaces and other defects in galvanised, but also in steel and aluminium parts exposed to high temperatures and mechanical stress.
Available in 1.8 kg tins and 1.5 kg cartridges.
Instructions
- The substrate must be load-bearing, sanded, clean, dry and free from residue.
- Mix putty and 2 – 3 % (by weight) hardener thoroughly to a homogeneous colour.
- The mixture has a pot life of approx. 5 minutes at 20 °C.
- The putty can be sanded approx. 20 minutes after application (hand/machine dry sanding with P120 – P320).
